Toronto Police Services are being criticized for their use of force in handling of Tuesday’s incident at Trinity Bellwoods park where police officers tried to clear a homeless encampment.

Police issued a statement saying their response was “proportionate” and they've instructed their officers to turn on their body-worn cameras.

Police say they've been monitoring the situation from a drone overhead and did not use any facial recognition devices as part of the operation.

Toronto Mayor John Tory said there will be a review of the use of force police used in the operation. Sean O’Shea reports.
